About Janet Sernack, Founder and CEO of ImagineNation™

Before launching her consulting, training, facilitation, and coaching career, she worked as a graphic and fashion designer and then became a successful product and marketing manager in the Australian women fashion manufacturing and retailing industries.

She became the Fashion Director and Marketing Development Manager for Grace Bros’ department stores, now part of the Myer Group, and established one of Australia’s first, leading-edge, global fashion information services.

She then launched Australia’s first design management consultancy, Janet Sernack Design Management Consultants Pty. Ltd., and worked with some of the world’s leading fashion and lifestyle brands.

Realising that some of the best business, quality management, and marketing plans often ended up in the “bottom drawer” she became an implementation specialist focusing on the “how-to’s” of change.

She worked with Carolyn Taylor, author of  “Walking the Talk – Building a Culture for Success” as an associate trainer, facilitator, project manager, and adult learning specialist at Corporate Vision, Australia’s first culture change and transformational leadership consultancy.

She continued developing her extensive training, facilitation, and coaching skill set, specializing in playful, experiential, and adult learning processes to effect mindset and behaviour change, in executive teams,  as the owner and principal consultant at CEO of Compass Learning Pty Ltd, specialising in designing and delivering bespoke top team alignment programs.

In 2010 she moved to the Middle East and joined the Start-Up Revolution where she resided for 6 years and founded an Israeli start-up, ImagineNation™.

She has tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Adult Learning, and Workplace Assessment and Training and is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and is a European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Master Practitioner, a Professionally Certified Innovation Coach, Agile Coach, and Mbit Coach.

She blogs regularly and is acknowledged as one of the top three bloggers,  at Innovation Excellence “the world’s most popular innovation blog” known now as Human-Centred Change and Innovation.

She presents at conferences and innovation summit globally, as an acknowledged thought leader on the People side of innovation.

She now resides with her very patient and supportive husband and furry family in lovely Bayside Melbourne, Australia. She is an experienced business mentor to both women, students, and Executive MBA students at RMIT Graduate School of Business and Law, Melbourne. Read her Story.
